Description
Pokémon Dragonite 149 Japanese Topsun Set PSA Trading Card Game EX-MT 6 (Bandai, 1997) Cracked Ice Prism. Before being released by Wizards of the Coast in the United States, Pokémon was already a phenomenon in Japan. Topsun cards, one of the earliest examples of Pokémon characters on cards, came inside packages containing two pieces of bubble gum and two cards. The packs were used as a promotional product in Japan to see if people would collect cards with Pokémon on them. I guess we know the answer to that! The card offered here features the Pokémon often referred to as the sea guardian, Dragonite. This specific copy is part of the rare holographic inserts, which were included with the original cards starting in June of 1997, and features the cracked ice prism holo treatment. PSA has certified 2 copies earning an EX-MT 6 grade with 9 graded higher.View Certification and Population Details from PSA
