Brenda Starr V2#10 (Four Star, 1949) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. A true comic strip icon, Brenda Starr became one of the handful of comic characters ever to be depicted on a U.S. postage stamp. That makes it all the more curious that such a mainstay of the funny pages hasn't starred in very many comic books. Fewer still have been original stories as opposed to strip reprints. Fortunately, this issue does feature original material. The cover blurb may advertise "romantic adventures for teenagers," but the cover has enough of a "good girl" element to keep grown-ups like us interested.
