Description

Tip Top Comics #1 (United Features Syndicate, 1936) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. United Features' first comic book title managed a run of 225 issues over 25 years, negotiating publisher changes from United Features to St. John and then to Dell in the process. The first issue boasted an incredible "Over 100 Funnies" including such notables of the day as Tarzan, L'il Abner, Fritzi Ritz, The Captain and the Kids, and more than 96 others. This first issue from comics' earliest days is "scarce," evidenced by the fact that this is the nicest copy of the premiere issue by a full-grade, according to CGC's latest census. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $5,192.
