Don Rosa Anders And & Co. [Donald Duck & Company] #52/1998 and #53/1998 Story Page 2 Uncle Scrooge Original Art (Egmont, 1998). Originally published in 1998 in Denmark by Egmont, and later reprinted in the US for the first time in Uncle Scrooge #318 (Gladstone, 1999), "The Cowboy Captain of The Cutty Sark" is the second of the "in-between adventures" in the series The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. A young and plucky 16-year-old Scrooge finds himself onboard the famous ship, The Cutty Sark, as its about to dock onto the shores of Java in Indonesia. He's brought along with him some cargo that seems to be making a bit of a disturbance. It's there that the legendary Captain F.W. Moore asks McDuck to attend to his merchandise and aims to calm down the frightened livestock from a strange thundering sound that seems to be emanating from under the water. Created in ink over graphite on two sheets of Bristol board with a combined image area of approximately 12.25" x 17.5". Staple holes, whiteout correction/clean-up, editorial notes along margins, and tape residue staining. Signed by Rosa in the lower right margin. In Excellent condition.
