Description

André Juillard Masquerouge, Le Fantôme #1 Pif Gadget #584 Story Page 2 Original Art (Éditions Vaillant, 1980). Masquerouge, precursor of the cycle of the 7 Lives of the Hawk, was originally published in short stories in French magazine Pif Gadget. Its stories guide us through a series of thrilling adventures set during the reign of Louis XIII, a golden era ripe for epic cloak-and-dagger action. Juillard's precise and evocative linework gives life to a beautiful panel page rendered in ink over graphite on two conjoined Bristol boards assembled on the back with adhesive tape. Signed by Juillard in panel three. Whiteout. Light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
