Description
Pep Comics #78 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (MLJ, 1950) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. This is the first appearance of the brainiest kid in Riverdale, Dilton! Like most Archie characters, the final version of this one was preceded by a couple of prototypes (most notably "Dilbert"), but this is the debut of the character we know and love. Bob Montana drew the cover, and Bill Woggon added interior art. This is the only copy of the issue that CGC has certified to date. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $165.
