Description
Will Eisner The Spirit Section Story Page 6 Original Art dated 01-26-47 (Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1947). Will Eisner is celebrated as one of the comic book genre's most important artists, so much so that an annual awards ceremony is named after him. His The Spirit Section was a unique hybrid, functioning as both a syndicated strip and a comic book. This captivating page features plots and showdowns between crooks and ends with The Spirit returning from the dead in the final two panels! The moody atmosphere is masterfully rendered in ink over graphite on a lightly toned Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The title, date, and page number at the page top are stat paste-ups. Light handling wear and marginal staining. In Very Good condition.More information about Will Eisner.
