Description

Akira Kaneda Animation Drawing (Tokyo Movie Shinsha, 1988). "Cornering, man!" Kaneda does his best to explain how to properly turn with the motorcycle as a less experienced Tetsuo follows right behind him. Towards the end of the renowned anime movie Akira, we can witness Tetsuo's memories with Kameda, a bittersweet set of scenes right after Tetuo's powers overwhelm him. Perfectly exemplifying the relationship between the friends-turned-enemies, this splendid animation drawing has the courageous leader of The Capsules, Kaneda, driving his iconic motorcycle at 164 km/h (101 miles per hour!) as he tries to advise Tetsuo, seen in his side mirror, showing up at the 1:52:45 mark of the film. This terrific animation, rendered in graphite with colored pencil shadings and details drawing, features an incredible image size of 11.25" x 8" on the 13.75" x 9.25" animation sheet numbered A-11 in the top right corner. The animation drawing shows some paint residue from production with minor handling and edge wear. Included is a COA. In Very Good condition.
