Jack Hannah - "Donald Duck Poses" Original Oil Painting (1991). The late Jack Hannah was Carl Barks' partner and co-worker at Walt Disney Studios in the Donald Duck animation department. Hannah joined the Disney animation staff in 1933, Barks in 1935. Hannah was the key animator on the Academy Award winning film "The Old Mill". He was animation director on over 75 Disney animated shorts, with eight of his films nominated for Academy Awards. He worked at Disney until 1959, and was awarded the Disney Legends award in 1992. In 1942, Hannah and Barks made comic book history by writing and drawing the first Donald Duck adventure comic, Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold. They each drew one half the book, on alternating pages. This charming, oversized painting, rendered in oils on a stretched canvas, was sold at the Disney Convention years ago, and has always been maintained in a private collection. It measures approximately 8" x 10", and is in Excellent condition.
