Description
Carl Barks Menace of the Myths: A Set of Progressive Proofs Signed Limited Edition Lithograph Print Boxed Set #1/5 (Another Rainbow, 1994). The eighth Carl Barks miniature lithograph was based on the comic book story "The Golden Fleecing" from Uncle Scrooge #12 (Dell, 1955). Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) created the original painting used as the image in 1973. This very rare boxed set includes 21 progressive proof prints, culminating in the final Gold Plate Edition, which has been hand-signed by the beloved Good Duck Artist. Only five such sets were ever produced, and this is #1! Each printed plate measures 11" x 13.5" and they are all in Excellent condition, with each plate enclosed in a Mylar sleeve. The hand-crafted, foil-stamped, clamshell boxed set measures 15.25" x 13.375" x 1.75" and includes a Certificate of Authenticity inside the box lid.
