Description
On Ice Pluto Animation Drawing Sequence of 2 (Walt Disney, 1935). Pluto spins and spins in this comical pair of 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from this incredible Ben Sharpsteen-directed short. This was the first short to include the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto), following the group as they explored their very own winter wonderland. Donald decides to play a trick on Pluto and straps him to a pair of skates, leaving him slipping and sliding over the ice. This pair of graphite with color pencil drawings can be found at about the 6:00 mark as Pluto chases his ice-covered tail in a blur in the center of the pond, though the final images are reversed in the short. These fantastic full figure drawings measure roughly 5.5'' x 6.75'', noted as 351 and 356 in the lower right. Very Good condition with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear from production use, and faint smudging.Auction Info
