Mickey Mouse Daily Newspaper Comic Strip by Roman Arambula Original Art dated 3-4-81 (Walt Disney/King Features Syndicate, 1981). Mickey watches as Goofy tries his hand at ice sculpting in this terrific three-panel original comic strip by Roman Arambula (1936 - 2020). In 1975, when Floyd Gottfredson, the longtime artist behind the syndicated Mickey Mouse comic strip, retired, Arambula won the job as the principal artist. He continued to draw it until 1990. This charming gag-a-day style strip has been rendered in ink over graphite and blue pencil on artboard with Zipatone shading film details on Mickey and Goofy's pants. The piece has been matted to an overall size of 23.75" x 10.75" with an aperture of 19" x 5.75". An official Disney Newspaper Comic Art sticker is present on the backside. With light handing and wear including slight age-related toning and faint pinpoint staining spots, overall this lot is in Very Good condition.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five.
