Description

John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala The Savage Sword of Conan #20 Story Page 13 Original Art (Marvel, 1977). Conan and Natala wander into the seemingly deserted city of Xuthal, only to encounter a mysterious figure with "dreamy" eyes. Alcala's masterful inking showcases a range of techniques, from bold stylization to delicate feathering and intricate crosshatching, while Buscema builds suspense through dynamic compositions and varied perspectives. This exquisitely rendered page from "The Slithering Shadow" was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Panel 1 is stripped-in and held by tape on the back, glue residue and spot staining in margins, text paste-ups, whiteout corrections, marginal pinholes, marginal production marks, slight toning, and minor corner/handling wear. In Very Good condition.
