Description

Mickey's Mellerdrammer Mickey Mouse Animation Drawings Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). Mickey Mouse prepares for his "cross-dressing" role as Topsy in a barnyard version of the classic anti-slavery play Uncle Tom's Cabin. This Wilfred Jackson-directed short is the product of a bygone era, when "Tom Shows," as they were called, were still commonplace. This is a rare trio of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings of Mickey as he picks up his Topsy costume. Rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper. The drawings are noted as 5, 84 and 29 in the lower right. Age-related toning. Condition is Very Good.
