Description
Steve Skroce and Mike Sellers X-Man #2 Age of Apocalypse Double Page Spread 9-10 Original Art (Marvel, 1995). In the Age of Apocalypse, Nate Grey -- the titular X-Man -- pushes his immense mutant powers to their limit, bursting into the sky in a blaze of telekinetic fire, while his fellow Outcasts, Sonique (known as Siryn in the mainstream Marvel timeline) and the enigmatic "Essex" (a disguised Mr. Sinister), watch from below. Nate proved so popular that he was the only heroic character from the classic crossover to be transported to the "real" Marvel Universe at the event's conclusion, where this series (originally planned for just four issues) ultimately ran for 75 issues. Ink and white paint over graphite across two unadhered Marvel Bristol boards with an image area of 20.25" x 15.25". The image area is toned from a prior framing, with whiteout, state paste-up word balloons (with light residue staining), blue pencil marks, tape, and corner/edge wear.
