Daffy Duck's Quackbusters "The Duxorcist" Production Cel and Key Master Background (Warner Brothers, 1987). Here's a RARE one! This is a Key Master setup featuring Daffy Duck and Melissa from the 1987 Looney Tunes short, "The Duxorcist". The short was initially broadcast as part of ABC's The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show and later released as one of the 12 shorts that makeup Daffy Duck's Quackbusters film. In the original broadcast, Daffy pushes the possessed female duck, Melissa away and says, "Oh no, not another schizophrenic dame. Hey, Sybil, any more like you in the family? Can you send back that older sister of yours?" ABC released a statement that read in part, "...mental illnesses could not be mocked" so the scene was replaced with Daffy saying, "I don't know my own strength!" and cut from the scene Daffy kissing Melissa which triggered her possession. This incredibly rare Key Master setup consists of a three hand-painted 12 field production cel layers paired with the original hand-painted Key Master production background. It's a fantastic piece of production art with a great backstory. A Warner Brothers COA is included. Condition is Very Good with typical edge wear and smudges from normal production use.Auction Info
