Description

Frank Robbins Johnny Hazard Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-20-48 (King Features Syndicate, 1948). Four years into a 33-year run, Johnny Hazard is showing signs of greatness on a par with Robbins' cartooning heroes, Milton Caniff and Alex Raymond. (Robbins had been invited in 1943 to take over Secret Agent X-9, a Raymond creation, but chose instead to invent Johnny Hazard.) Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20.5" x 6". There is some light soiling, and notations in the border, with small spots of soling. In otherwise Very Good condition.
