Virgil Ross - Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam Illustration Original Art (c. 1990s). "Consarn it, I'm gonna put an end to this tomfoolery if it's the last thing I do!" Yosemite Sam takes aim at Bugs Bunny in this hare-larious Golden Age throwback by Virgil Ross. A legendary animator closely associated with the flippant, carrot-chomping rabbit, Ross' Bugs lineage traces back to the character's breakthrough in A Wild Hare (1940), and this image channels that classic Looney Tunes attitude with perfect aim. Created in crayon and graphite over blue pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. Signed in the lower right of the 9.5" x 7.5" image area. Spot stain on bottom edge and light handling wear.
