Frank King Gasoline Alley Daily Comic Strips Original Art Group of 2 (Chicago Tribune, 1946). Skeezix and Wilmer continue setting up their new joint venture, a gas station and garage, in this pair of episodes from the beloved comic strip feature known for its unique convention of having characters age in real time. Includes dailies dated 5-8 and 5-13 of 1946. Please note that while the stat copyright paste-up on the 5-13 daily lists the date as "1943", we have confirmed both strips were published in 1946. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 19.75" x 6". Lightly toned, with small stains, stat title and credit paste-ups, marginal pinholes and production notes, adhesive staining, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
