Description

Will Eisner - The Spirit Preliminary Original Art (c. 2000). The Spirit stands nonchalantly in the eerie Wildwood Cemetery, surrounded by discarded newspapers and magazines bearing his name in this preliminary sketch drawn by the master Will Eisner. The Spirit's casual stance, combined with his iconic mask and hat, emphasizes his unique blend of heroism and human vulnerability -- a hallmark of Eisner's character work. Rendered in graphite and blue pencil on paper with an image area of 7" x 9.5". Light toning, smudging, light diagonal bend across top left of image area, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
