Dick Ayers - Sgt. Rock, The Unknown Soldier, and Mlle. Marie Sketch Original Art (undated). Dick Ayers rallies three of DC's finest soldiers in this rousing wartime sketch: Sgt. Rock, grizzled and unyielding; the shadowy Unknown Soldier; and the indomitable Mademoiselle Marie of the French Resistance. Best known for commanding Marvel's Howling Commandos, Ayers crossed battle lines to lend his bold linework to DC's legendary fighters as well. Rendered in ink and marker on art paper measuring 9" x 12". Light corner/handling wear. Signed by Ayers at the bottom and in Excellent condition.More information about Dick Ayers.
