Description

Donald's Garden Donald Duck Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). Presented in this lot is a stunning sequence of three 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from the Dick Lundy-directed short Donald's Garden that followed Donald as he tries to save his crop of prize-winning watermelons. The sequence of full figure drawings is masterfully in graphite with color pencil and can be found starting at about 2:23 in the short. They capture Donald as he tries to force his water pump to fill the bucket for his crops, pouncing on it in a blind rage when it refuses to give him the water he needs. It's a comical moment with dynamic poses that range from approximately 3.75'' x 3.75'' to 4'' x 5''. It's rare to find sequences that are close in number, and this one is marked about as close as you can get with 115, 117, and 118. There is a small hand-written timing chart on one page and two hand-written notes. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.
