Description
Al Vey [George Pérez lightboxed] Avengers #34 Story Page 1 Finished Pencils Original Art (Marvel, 2000). "The Nefaria Protocols" kicks off with a bang, an all-out melee as the Avengers and Thunderbolts dogpile an unseen threat before the story rewinds to reveal how it all began. It's a packed powerhouse page with an army of Marvel heavy-hitters, including Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Vision, She-Hulk, Iron Man, Wasp, Goliath, Hawkeye, MACH-2, Warbird, Songbird, Charcoal, Black Widow, Madame Masque, Grim Reaper, Atlas, Wonder Man, and Count Nefaria. These finished pencils by Vey were lightboxed from a photocopy of Pérez's pencils, likely created to provide more detailed pencils for Vey to produce the finished inks (which he likely inked separately on vellum, not included). Rendered in graphite on vellum with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Light handling wear. In Excellent condition. Includes a photocopy of Pérez's pencils.
