Chic Young Blondie Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-6-38 (King Features Syndicate, 1938). Blondie paints the kitchen table but forgets to warn her husband, Dagwood, who promptly ruins his outfit. In classic Dagwood fashion, he quickly discards the freshly-stained clothes-a skill he's perfected through his daily morning routine of hurriedly putting them on. This Sunday strip features the entire family, including Dagwood, his wife Blondie, their son Alexander, and their dog Daisy. Rendered in ink over graphite on two strips of Bristol board with a combined image area of 17" x 13.25". Toned, with small stains, production notes, tape, and handling wear. The strip has been folded in half, and the two halves are nearly disconnected, held together only by tape. Comes with a COA. In Very Good condition.More information about Chic Young.
