Beauty and the Beast "Be Our Guest" Animation Drawing Group of 13 (Walt Disney, 1991). "We've got a lot to do. Is it one lump or two? For you, our guest. She's our guest, she's our guest, be our guest!" sings Mrs. Potts in the Oscar nominated showstopper "Be Our Guest." Here is an amazing assortment of thirteen animation roughs featuring Mrs. Potts and a variety of other characters from the song sequence. In traditional animation, the first drawings are called "roughs" or "rough animation" because they are often done in a very loose style. These roughs were sketched out using graphite with blue and red pencil on animation paper. There are two drawings depicting Mrs. Potts, two depicting a cooking pot, three depicting stacks of dishes, one depicting dancing napkins, one depicting spinning teacups, one depicting the faucet, two depicting other dishes, and one depicting a cupboard. These drawings are original working production art and therefore show edge wear from normal handling and use. Five are on 12 field paper, seven are on 16 field paper, and one is on pan animation paper. Some of the pegholes are taped on. Condition is Good to Very Good, with some handling, edge wear, and toning.Auction Info
