Description
Garfield and Friends "The Legend of Cactus Jupiter" Garfield and Cactus Jake Production Cel Setup and Animation Color Model Drawing Group of 2 (Film Roman, 1991). "I suppose it's my duty to test the quality of the in-flight meals on this fancy borrowed rig." Garfield once again shows that food is his number one priority when he starts his trip to space with a visit to a space-age vending machine. This humorous scene can be found at about the 6:18 mark of the 1991 episode "The Legend of Cactus Jupiter." In this fantastic cel-setup, Garfield sports a spacesuit with a cowboy flair as he uses the malfunctioning vending machine to defend the spaceship from attackers. This setup is composed of three original, hand-painted production cels that have been placed atop a color print for presentation. The combined images of these cels take up the entire cel, with an image size measuring 12" x 9.5"! The 12 field cels are labeled in their lower right corners with G1, P1, and HC78. Also included with this group is an original animation drawing of the scene. This drawing is created with graphite and colored pencil on 12 field animation paper, and it contains a Color Model that gives information about what colors should be placed where on the finished cel. The drawing is labeled with HC78 in its lower right corner. The condition of this great lot is Good, with handling, edge wear, some smudging, and debris on the cel setup and handling, edge wear, some white-out, and tape stains on the drawing.From the Jim Davis Collection.
