Description

Frank King Gasoline Alley Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-10-58 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1958). Composed of a fascinating procession of three panels, each with its own angle and its own expressive emphasis. King had created the family-saga feature in 1918 -- and he kept getting better and better at it as he aged his characters in real time. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 19.75" x 6". Lightly toned, marginal pinholes and notes, corner and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
