Description

John Buscema and Ernie Chan Conan the Barbarian #96 Story Page 2 Original Art (Marvel, 1979). Conan stalks the shadow-haunted forests south of Kush as the second Amra, a great black-maned lion named Sholo at his side -- a silent symbol of the savage respect he commands. His goal: to find the Beast King Ajaga, who holds his beloved BĂȘlit captive. Composed with fierce elegance by Buscema and boldly inked by Chan, this page from "The Long Night of Fang and Talon! Part One" is rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, minor staining at bottom of page, blue pencil editorial marks, discolored tape on bottom edge, production-trimmed edges/corner, page number paste-up, marginal pinholes, light smudging, whiteout touch-ups, and light handling wear. Signed and dated by Chan in the final panel. In Very Good condition.
