Gene Byrnes Reg'lar Fellers Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (New York Tribune, Inc., c. 1929). Byrnes wrote the book -- literally -- on classic gag cartooning. His long-running Reg'lar Fellers is a definitive example of the schoolboy comics that proliferated early in the last century. Dates are 1-2 and 2-10, years are missing. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20" x 5". There is heavy toning, edge and corner wear, small nicks along the edges. In Very Good condition.
