Description
Mickey's Rival Mortimer Mouse and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1936). Mortimer dances up a storm to impress Minnie in this spectacular pair of animation drawings of from the 1936 Wilfred Jackson-directed short. This classic animated short followed Mickey as he was introduced to the overconfident Mortimer. This pair of graphite with color pencil drawings of Mortimer and Minnie can be found at about 3:47 and 3:45 as Mortimer performs a salsa dance with their picnic blanket and a few leftover bones to try and impress Minnie. Mortimer's full figure measures about 6'' x 6.25'' while Minnie measures around 3'' x 3.75'', clad in her iconic flower hat. The first page is noted 53 while for scene 26 and includes a hand-written timing chart while the second is noted 70. The latter page also includes the initials L.C., possibly attributing it to Disney Legend Les Clark. Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.Auction Info
