The Pet Store Beppo Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). Mickey shows Minnie around the pet store, but things quickly get out of hand when the pair run into the fearsome Beppo. This fantastic sequence of three 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings features the gorilla himself, smiling widely at his full height. The King Kong-inspired short marked Beppo's third and last appearance in Mickey Mouse's filmography, but he goes out with a bang after capturing Minnie. This powerful gorilla was only able to be defeated when Mickey valiantly teamed up with the other animals in the store, forcing the animal back into his cage. This tense moment captures Beppo as he looms over the happy couple at about the 4:58 mark. These large full figure drawings are noted as 132, 153, and 162 in the lower right and range from 4.75'' x 6'' to 6.75'' x 6.5''. The sequence is in Very Good condition with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and faint superficial wrinkles.Auction Info
