Description
Gary Smith Substance Quarterly "Misfits" Story Pages Original Art Group of 3 (Substance, 1994). Included are story pages from the story "Misfits", published across all three issues of the limited series Substance Quarterly. While the exact issue appearances for these pages could not be confirmed, they are labeled as Page 14 of Book 4, Page 19 of Book 4, and an unused page intended as Page 18 of Book 6. The pages from Book 4 are rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with image areas of 11.5" x 17.5". Notably, each panel of Page 19 has been cut from another board and adhered to a backing board. These pages present with toning, whiteout corrections, and handling wear. The unused page is rendered in pure graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 17.5"; it is toned and exhibits some smudging.
