Description

Irv Novick and Dick Giordano Batman #253 Story Page 17 Original Art (DC, 1973). It's lights out as Batman and Bammy's conversation is abruptly interrupted by a shattered bulb in this page from the noir-drenched story, "Who Knows What Evil -- ?", which marked the Shadow's first appearance in a DC comic. Could it have been the slouch-hatted crime-fighter himself who took out the bulb with his twin pistols? Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, with whiteout corrections, minor foxing, marginal production tape, smudging, trimmed edges, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
From the Irv Novick Family Collection.
