Eric Stanton Tin Hats Wartime Daily Single Panel Gag dated 11-5-44 Original Art (Bell Syndicate, 1944). "Yep - they're building those Zeroes better! This time one of 'em got away!"Stanton was still in his teens when he placed Tin Hats for syndication as a morale-booster feature for the Allied Forces, often combining combat with slapstick-comedy situations. Created in ink over graphite on coquille board with an image area of 6.5" x 7.5". The typed punchline is glued to the board below the image. Slight toning, glue residue staining, spot staining, and smudging/handling wear. In Very Good condition.More information about Eric Stanton.
