John J. Humski (as Jack Jay) Casey Jones, Jr., Unpublished Pilot Comic Strip Original Art (late 1940s). Humski invested plenty of energy and dynamic artistry in this tryout feature, which went unsold despite an enthusiastic pitch covering approximately a month's worth of narrative momentum. Ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol, with a combined image area of 20" x 12". There are glue stains from where the strip's title has come loose from each first panel.
