Description

Alfredo Alcala and Jim Janes Eerie #104 The Rook Story Page 3 Original Art (Warren, 1979). Bishop Dane orders Manners to bust open the padlocked Time Castle -- despite grandson Restin's warning -- only to find a cheeky note inside wishing him a good trip anyway. Known for his mastery of fantasy and horror, Alcala shows he could handle sci-fi with equal flair on this page from "The Trouble with Tin Men!" On the reverse are partially finished story page pencils, likely also by Alcala. Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18.75". Toning, staining, whiteout corrections, blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout corrections with light wear, smudging, text paste-ups, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
