Captain America #118 "Let's Rap with Cap" Letters Page (Marvel, 1969). One of the secrets of Marvel's surge to prominence was a sense of communion with the customers -- more than just a letters-to-the-editor feature, with an illusion of dealing directly with Stan Lee and the staff. This typeset paste-up specimen captures that breezy-but-thoughtful attitude very well, with letters from Alexander Godlevsky of New York and Garrett Everett of Georgia. Image area, 11" x 16".
