Description
Mickey's Circus Mickey Mouse Opening Title Animation Drawing and Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Disney, 1936). This is a rare treat! Featured in this lot is an opening title animation drawing not used in the final short, and an animation drawing of Mickey Mouse performing in the balancing rope seen at about the 6:09 mark of the short. The struggling Mickey measures 4.75" tall as he balances on the rope, rendered in graphite with red pencil, and numbered 39 in the top and bottom right corner. The title animation drawing reads "MICKEY'S CIRCUS" reflected on a balloon with an image size of 11" x 9", rendered in graphite with red pencil, and numbered 78. Both drawings are rendered in 12 field 5-peghole animation paper that displays light toning and minimal handling wear from production.
