Surely one of the most striking Defenders panel pages we've ever offered, this stunner showcases the full founding lineup in action. The Hulk, Doctor Strange, and Namor the Sub-Mariner take on Mister Rasputin as they struggle to escape a spellbound flashback trap cast by Clea. Valkyrie completes the roster on a page bursting with surreal, Ditko-inspired visuals and a backdrop of strange, otherworldly realms. From "The Way They Were Part 4: The Once and Again Dooms", this is a prime slice of Marvel magic, capturing the Bronze Age brilliance of rising stars like Starlin and Milgrom at full creative force. Ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". Toning, smudging, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, tape over teaser and page number paste-ups, whiteout corrections, tape residue staining on top edge, trimmed edges, corner creasing, and edge/handling wear.
