Frank Thorne Marvel Feature #6 Red Sonja Cover Preliminary Original Art (Marvel, 1976). There's little doubt among fans that Frank Thorne is the definitive Red Sonja artist, making this an exceptional opportunity to own one of his earliest-and most iconic-renderings of the character, captured here in a remarkably detailed preliminary stage. Rendered in pure graphite on thin paper with an image area of 6.5" x 10.25". The piece shows pinholes, some crinkling, and a 7" crease running from the top center to the center left, though this is mostly obscured by the busy composition.
