Description
Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1983). Created for the 1983 Looney Tunes compilation film Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island, here is a rare original production cel featuring a stampede of characters. Bridging sequences of the film were directed by Friz Freleng, and this hand-inked and hand-painted includes Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig along with two of the director's rarest characters, mobsters Rocky and Mugsy. This scene appears in the opening seconds of the feature-length parody of Fantasy Island as a host of Looney Tunes characters rush from the plane, stirring up a cloud of dust in their wake. The image fills the 12 field cel that is signed by Friz Freleng (1906 - 1995) in the lower left and bares a Warner Brother's seal in the lower right. A very cool image from one of the Warner Brothers' animation greats. The cel is in a 19" x 17" frame under glass with a mat window of 11" x 9". All frames are sold as-is.
