Description

Make Me Psychic Anita and Snozzy Production Cel Signed by Sally Cruikshank (Sally Cruikshank, 1978). "I think I have a different concept of motion than most other animators...I think I have a sense of motion that makes for an offbeat view of the world," explained Sally Cruikshank of her surreal and unique style of animation. Cruikshank's short film Quasi at the Quackadero has been preserved in the Library of Congress' National Film Registry, and it was also voted as the 46th greatest cartoon of all time in Jerry Beck's 1994 survey of animation professionals. Make Me Psychic was Cruikshank's next project, and the bizarre film features the return of Quackadero's characters Quasi and Anita, as well as the addition of Snozzy. This hand-painted, hand-inked production cel depicts Anita as Snozzy tries to woo her at a party, an image seen at about the 5:47 mark of the film. The image measures about 6.25" x 5.25", and it is signed by Cruikshank on the lower right side. The piece is matted and framed with glass, with a matboard aperture of 9.5" x 6.5" and an overall frame size of 15.25" x 12.25". The cel is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear, and the frame is sold as-is.
