Description

Joe Kubert (attributed) Big Ben Bolt Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-7-77 (King Features Syndicate, 1977). Betty's got one razzle-dazzle put-on to put over, or the whole shootin' match goes down the drain. This strip is from the transitional period after John Cullen Murphy left the strip (to do Prince Valiant) and before Gray Morrow took over, when a number of important cartoonists stepped in, including Neal Adams and Al Williamson. Although unsigned, this daily sure look like the work of Joe Kubert. Ink on Bristol board, the image area measures 15.25" x 4.5". Mild toning, edge creasing, text paste-up corrections, adhesive residue, whiteout corrections and small spots of soiling. In Very Good condition.
