Description

Detective Comics #21 Mile High pedigree (DC, 1938) CGC VF/NM Qualified 9.0 White pages. This beautiful pre-Batman issue of Detective Comics has many of the hallmarks of books from the Edgar Church collection. The cover colors are bright and vibrant; the interior pages are supple and white; in short, it looks almost new. This copy does have a problem, noted on the Qualified CGC header: a seven-inch spine split, from the bottom to about a half-inch from the top staple. This issue features the second appearance of this title's first costumed hero, the Crimson Avenger, and art by Fred Guardineer, Joe Shuster, and Leo O'Mealia. Overstreet 2005 VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,780; NM- 9.2 value = $3,500.
