Description

The Incredible Hulk #1 (Marvel, 1962) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. This is a strong grade for this particular book, which has often been called the toughest Silver Age Marvel to find in high grade, and we don't doubt that this specimen would be an upgrade for the vast majority of collectors. As for significance, the book's tough to top: not only is it just the second Silver Age Marvel #1 after Fantastic Four, it's got the Hulk's first appearance and origin, plus the first appearances of Rick Jones (loyal), Betty Ross (cute), and Thunderbolt Ross (crotchety except when he's livid). Overstreet 2006 VG 4.0 value = $1,450; FN 6.0 value = $2,175. CGC census 3/07: 21 in 5.0, 102 higher.
