Description

Sensation Comics #1 "D" Copy pedigree (DC, 1942) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. This is just the second appearance of Wonder Woman, close on the heels of her debut in All Star Comics #8. That's why the book is listed among the 30 most valuable comics by Overstreet! The second part of Wonder Woman's origin is shown here, which means it's got her arriving in America for the first time and also introduces her "Diana Prince" secret identity. William Moulton Marston (as "Charles Moulton") wrote the story, and the unique style of artist H. G. Peter is seen on the visuals (though Jon Blummer contributed the cover art). Also making their first appearances here: Wildcat, Mr. Terrific, and Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys. As the only female superhero to be in continuous publication for over 60 years, Wonder Woman is one of the top characters in comic history, hence the high demand for this book! Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $19,950. CGC census 11/06: 2 in 8.0, 6 higher.
