Description
Building a Building Mickey Mouse Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1933). It's lunchtime at the construction site; steam shovel operator Mickey gets ready to eat his fish sandwich, but takes time to debone the fish first! Mickey will soon lose his sandwich to Foreman Pete, but Minnie Mouse with her "food truck" pushcart gifts Mickey with one of her 15-cent box lunches! Here's a great sequence of three original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings of Mickey with his sandwich from Building a Building, which was first released to theaters on 1/17/33. In this sequence, we see Mickey pulling out all the bones with one swift move in drawings numbered 28 and 46 in the lower right corner; in drawing 68, Mickey carries his now edible sandwich, having tossed the bones away. Art is in graphite with great red and yellow pencil highlights on two of the drawings; image sizes are 5.25" x 3.5", 3.75" x 4.75", and 3.25" x 3" (not including the bones, seen to the right).
