Description
SpongeBob SquarePants Sandy Cheeks and Spongebob Production Cel and Master Background (Nickelodeon, 1999). SpongeBob's air-breathing friend Sandy Cheeks appears with him in this original hand-painted 12 field two-level production cel setup. Sandy is a "land squirrel" who relocated from Texas to Bikini Bottom, where she lives in a treehouse within a big dome. These are Season 1 cels, as there were no painted cels on episodes from Season 2 on; figure sizes are approximately 4.25" and 3.25". The cels are on a great Spongebob SquarePants hand-painted gouache production background noted a SB 107 in the lower peghole margin. The background art measures 14" x 10.5". Background artists for Season 1 included John Seymore. Overall condition is Very Good with old tape along the bottom, connecting the peghole strip, plus minor handling wear.Auction Info
