Description

Pinocchio Cleo Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Figaro, you say goodnight, too. Go on!" The adorable goldfish Cleo twirls and blushes after a reluctant kiss goodnight from the kitten Figaro. This is a delightful original production rough from the moments seen near the 11:04 mark of the celebrated classic Pinocchio. Cleo was animated by Disney Legend Eric Larson (1905 - 1988). Larson was one of "Walt's Nine Old Men" who started a recruitment training program in 1973 that brought a whole new generation of animators into the Disney studio including Brad Bird, Don Bluth, Chris Buck, Tim Burton, Glen Keane, and Andreas Deja. This is a terrific piece of production art! The artwork was rendered in graphite on trimmed animation paper and framed to 18" x 18" with a round 7" aperture. Frame sold as-is. Art appears in Good condition.
From the 30+ Year Disney Character Artist Mark Mitchell Collection.
