Description

Pinocchio Jiminy Cricket Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). Jiminy Cricket tries his best to fall asleep, resting on a violin in Geppetto's workshop, but the artisan's army of ticking clocks frighten the cricket awake. Here's an excellent original animation drawing from the beginning of the 1940 Walt Disney feature film Pinocchio, depicting Jiminy Cricket in his shabby, worn-out clothes before the Blue Fairy magically gifts him with a new set of fine clothes. It's comparatively rare to find production art of Jiminy in this outfit! The animation drawing was created for the 14:27 mark of the film. This great drawing is created with graphite and red pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. The image of Jiminy measures about 3" x 3.25", and the page is numbered in its lower right corner with 12. The piece is in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, minor staining, and minor creasing. There is a paperclip mark on the top edge.
